Contraindications to nasolabial fold filler

It is important to consider the contraindications to nasolabial fold filler with hyaluronic acid in order to keep the patient safe and avoid complications. Here is a list of the main contraindications:

1. Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Hyaluronic acid is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, because there is not enough research confirming its safety in these groups.

2. Active skin infections
The treatment cannot be performed on skin affected by an active infection, such as cold sores (herpes), cystic acne or other inflammation. This could make the infection worse or prolong healing.

3. Allergy to ingredients of the product
